I think digital story telling is a good thing for students. They can learn from hearing and seeing visuals. If you have a student that is shy and doesn't like to ask questions or talk in front of the class then this is a good way for them to learn and know/see what's going on if they're too nervous to ask questions. I wasn't too interested in this project mainly because I didn't like recording it but I also didn't find much about permanence so I tried to relate it to digital permanence and it's meanings and the effects that can come from a digital footprint. 

I enjoyed this assignment, I just wish I had something better to give a tutorial on. However, I was already familiar with screen casting. I have a friend from home that made a living off of Youtube videos and moved to NYC so I had been around her various times and got to see her making videos. It's kind of cool to use/watch. I think it can come in handy for a lot of different things. I think it's especially good for those students that need to see and hear to learn things.

Before this assignment, I hadn't realized the true definition of diversity. I just assumed it was differences between individuals but I hadn't realized what that actually meant. Diversity holds a lot of weight in this country. After this assignment, it helped me realize the actual definition and that it can hold a lot of effect when being in a school or job setting. If individuals could finally see past and accept the differences between each other, diversity wouldn't be a negative thing. I think it certainly has it's pros and cons but now a days more people are seeing is as a con rather than what it could be as a pro.

Prezi is a web-based software that allows you to create presentations, tutorials, and whatever else you would like via the internet. Prezi allows you to save your creation onto your profile instead of having to deal with the hassle of saving it to a computer and saving it to a jump drive in order to share it. Prezi is an easy accessible website and it's also compatible on the go. You can use Prezi through it's app on IPads and IPhones as well as the computer. I've personally used Prezi for presentations throughout my college career and have seen multiple professors use it as well. Most of them recommended Prezi to me instead of Powerpoint. Individuals rated Prezi as a more organized, engaging, and easier to use software than Powerpoint. 

              In the article, the author of the article feels strongly towards technology. She feels that we need to stop looking at technology in the classroom as a negative thing. This is because technology is rapidly growing and it's basically all the future will be. So the sooner you teach the students to use it, the easier the adjustment will be.               I personally think that the use of technology can be a good thing. I do think that students become too reliant on it but I think that when teachers bring it into the classroom, they mean well with it. The author of the article is blatantly right as sad as it may be to some people but the future IS technology whether people like it or not. The sooner you teach the younger generations to use it will be a good thing.         I think that there is a very strong relationship between learning and ones emotions. I personally think that unless you WANT to learn and are engaged. I know there were times that I was having a bad day and kind of kept my head in my notebook and paid no attention to the teacher, what was going on, or even the people around me. More than likely if it's not something you're interested in, you're not going to pay too much attention or go out of your way to learn it.         All of this goes with the MI theory because it shows that students can learn in various ways and that there's not one set way of learning in the classroom. My worst subject in school has and always will be Math, unless I understand what I am doing and then I love it...but that's hardly ever. When I was at a different college and taking a math course, we had the course in classroom, but the teacher had us do all of our work in class on the computer which meant I was using...

According to the provided  questionnaire, I have a learning style that is a  multi modal  learning preference which means that I am able to learn through pictures that have some text that contain more details to explain them more in depth so I can see and read what I'm trying to learn. I would say this VARK assignment was definitely accurate. I was rated in different things though and the highest was the Kinesthetic learning at a score of 13. I can bring technology into the mix by using the internet to look up some of the things I may not understand right away. While reading the article "Flame First, Think Later" written by Daniel Goleman I learned a lot more than I thought I would initially. I have always known what it meant to say things over the internet, or while sitting behind the screen of a cellphone, but I suppose I've never really heard of it referred to as flaming, but as I read on, it made more and more sense. Flaming is "sending a message that is taken offensive, embarrassing, or down right rude," (Goleman, 2007) I have always considered I guess what is called flaming to be similar to cyber bullying but in reality they're two separate things completely. Personally I think everyone can be guilty of flaming. Most of us, myself included, can sometimes say things without even knowing how it's going to be reciprocated to someone else. I think that people rely on this clearly as a cover and that can sometimes be a negative thing which can circle back to cyber bullying especially for younger generations. I...
